AKKKMILLER4 Posted February 19, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2006 We are sailing March 18th and would love to hear some feedback on their kids activities. Also, does anyone know if they have the pizza party for the kids on formal night?
Amymacc Posted February 19, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 19, 2006 We sailed on the Enchantment on Jan 30th. I have two girls, 11 and 16. They did the science experiment, and crayola projects. Both of them, as usual, did have a great time and the new splash pool added to the pool deck gave my 11 year old hours of fun. The Adventure Ocean area is much smaller on this ship than the Voyager Class but that is to be expected. They put on a pirate show one night right before one of the shows. Make sure to ask them when it is so you don't miss it. If we hadn't been in the right place at the right time we might not have seen it. There was one new crew member on the ship who is involved with the kids program who was not very well liked by children and parents alike, but maybe since it was their first cruise they have "lightened up" since. It must be hard going from land lubber to crew member no matter how much you prepare. I do believe they did have the dinner in the Windjammer on Formal Night but there was so much going on and my children love eating in the DR so we can't quite remember. If your child/children are old enough make sure and buy them some disposable cameras and a small notebook to write memories down in. It's also great to have the other kids write notes to them along with screen names, addresses etc. My 16 year old still communicates with the kids from her very first cruise when she was 11. Someday they all hope to take their first cruise together on their own. I told her this won't happen untill she is old enough to pay for it!! Contact me if you have any other questions.
