Ville Saguenay

Here is what Princess has on their site about this stop.

Ville Saguenay, Québec

Located in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region, Ville Saguenay is noted for its spectacular physical beauty. It's an ideal launching point for some of the many natural sights of the province of Québec. This city is also home to numerous local artist studios with a sizeable artist community to speak of.

Saguenay River

The charming city of Ville Saguenay is located on this scenic river.

Fjord du Saguenay

The estuary of the Saguenay River stretches through the region offering numerous photo opportunities.

But it doesn't say whether you tender or dock but I would doubt they would have a dock big enough for a cruise ship.

Have a great next cruise.

We are on an earlier sailing and looking forward to this part of the trip. We have no idea either whether or not there is a stop.

It appears that there are many boat trips from Baie Ste Catherine and they seem to Scenic cruise" only. We have assumed that we might also be "scenic cruising" with no stops, although there was a mention of Baie Ha Ha. Perhaps there is a stop there. And it isnt clear how far we travel along the fjord before turning back.

Looking forward to the whale watching which is a feature of this particular fjord, in particular where it meets the St Lawrence river. Fingers crossed for good sightings!

There is lots of info on this area online.

We are on Sea Princess from Quebec to NY on Oct 8th. We noticed Princess has added Ville Saguenay as a new stop. Can anyone tell us what this is. Do you dock or tender ? Thanks for the info !

We just booked our cruise today and you do tender in Ville Saguenay. This is a new port for Princess. We are on the 9/18/06 cruise on the last available balcony (or outside for that matter) supposedly. You never know when you talk to the rep.

I just logged on to say the we received some additional info from our TA this morning.

Now showing tender ports which include Bar Harbor, Newport and PORT SAGUENAY.

There are still no excursions showing on the Princess website, only a note saying there may or may not be any. At least we are getting off somewhere, for however short a time.

Hi, we are on the same Sept 18th as you are. :) We booked it early January.

I started a Roll Call in early February, but it "fell off" the Roll Calls a few weeks after when nobody posted on it. I did not know that CC did that!!

We are actually leaving this coming Tuesday to join Regal Princess and wont be back until April 8th.

Because of this, I had intended to start another Roll Call in April unless someone else started one between now and then while we are away. If you want to start one, I will "reply" so it does not fall off again. Alternatively, I can start one in the next couple of days and you could reply on it. Let me know what you think. Time is short for us now.

It is great to hear from someone on the same cruise with us. I checked for a roll call but found none and thought that I would start one a little later. If you would like to start one I will try to keep it going. Maybe we will find more people on the same cruise. On our last cruise we were able to have a meet and greet with fellow CCers. I look forward to meeting you in September. We shared a table with 4 delightful English ladies on our last cruise. Well, more about that on the roll call!
