beth59 Posted February 21, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2006 We will be in St Maarten in March and I was wondering if it would be better to take a taxi or rent a car. We have been to St Maarten before and we did rent a car and drove all around the island. This time however we plan to go to Divi resort (for a massage) and then head over to Maho beach for lunch and the planes. After that we wanted to do some shopping, mainly to purchase some liquor to bring home. We were thinking of going to Rams unless someone knows a closer place to the port. There will be 3 of us traveling together. Would it be better to rent a car?
Natalia Posted February 21, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2006 If you would be single travelers, traveling together.... then I imagine splitting the cost of a rental car would be the best financial choice. That way you could spend as much time as you wish where ever you wish.
beth59 Posted February 21, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted February 21, 2006 Natalia: Actually we are a family of three so we would not be splitting the cost.
thatbloominplace Posted February 21, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2006 just got back from st. marten where we rented a car from arthur's for $50 plus taxes. they have a location just outside of the port. book ahead if you plan to use him. seems to me that this would probably be less than using cabs and more convenient and more options than using buses.
