Princess moved or cabin on the Ruby

Princess moved our cabin said we got a free upgrade.It Was a balcony room and they just moved us to another balcony room on the same deck . Just more mid ship called it a upgrade. Now we are trying to upgrade to a mini suite Princess say we can't unless we rebook because we already technically received a upgrade. We didn't ask to be moved we're happy we're at I think we're booked they are using it for Covid

Midship is considered an upgrade.  You can possibly pay for an upgrade once you are on the ship. I did that on my December, Majestic Princess cruise.  I think we paid $30 per day to upgrade from a balcony to a mini suite.
