Accumulate 1200 points in casino (at least that is what it was in October) and you will get a 30% off voucher toward the end of cruise. 2. Accumulate 10000 points for a free cruise (inside I think) voucher toward the end of cruise. 3. Not exactly certain but I think it is 40,000 points for a free YC room voucher toward the end of cruise. 4. Randomly you may receive an offer for a free cruise via snail mail or email. Got the coupon on board last week, but I can't figure out how to apply it when I go to make a booking on MSC's site. Do I just go ahead and book it, and then reach out MSC customer service, or is there a place I can put in the code? Thanks

Thanks That's what I did, got a letter with a 30% discount, booked a cruise online then emailed them to have discount applied. They wanted a copy of the letter, which I scanned and emailed them. You could book thru ringing them and getting the code applied at the same time I suppose, but doesn't appear you can do it online without contacting them about it. juancarlosgarciasanchez Posted March 14, 2022 #28 Share Posted March 14, 2022 Hello - My degenerate gambling brother received this weekend by snail mail a free casino offer from MSC which included a seven day cruise for two, BELLA Balcony experience, all expenses paid including port charges, taxes, tips, a drink / internet / photo package and a $500 casino credit on selected cruises. I had no idea he gambled so much.
Paphillyguy Posted March 14, 2022 #29 Share Posted March 14, 2022 I believe you have to contact the casino department to get the 30% and/or book any casino offer. I will say out of all the cruise lines they have the best offers since they do not charge a booking fee or port fees/taxes on most of their offers currently. Also, their upgrade fee to the Yacht Club is very reasonable.

Thanks The easiest way is to call and book through the casino phone number on the bottom of letter. Yes you can book it and then email existing reservations to have it applied, however I am generally hesitant to do that with MSC customer service issues. (I have done it once this way and it worked fine BUT not a fan of doing that way. Spoilt Edited March 14, 2022 by LadySpoilt

Really interesting information - May I ask...what is the "dollar" translation to equal a "point"? I am a penny slot girl, usually play every night on a cruise but not a ton of money. Have never been offered any discount on other cruise lines (and yes, I do use my card to track my points). Trust me...I'd rather have a cruise discount than a free tee shirt which is what I usually walk away with even the one time I won a nice hand-pay. Warmest, Amy

Warmest, Amy I am not sure of the point to dollar ration but one thing that does help is if you go to the casino during their happy hour time because they offer double points during that time daily. Warmest, Amy I just got back from the Seashore last week. Every $3 of money wagered = 1 casino reward point. You need 1,200 points to get the 30% Off Casino Offer Letter, so that would be $3,600 wagered in machines (I'm not sure if they track tables the same way, but I would assume they do). I play Video Poker at the quarter-level, so $1.25/hand. When I reached around 1,050 points, the Casino Host came over to explain about the 1,200 point threshold for the discount and to have me sign the offer letter. Later in the week she came by to say hello and brought me a box of chocolates. By the end of the cruise I had 2,100 points, so that means I'd run $6,300 through the machine. I never made it to Happy Hour for the double points. If I had done that, and played a higher credit amount, I could have made a run at the free trip. There was one dude on slots behind me on the second day... he had over 9,000 points... not sure how much he was throwing down!!! Throughout the week I charged a total of $800 to my room for casino play and I walked off the boat with $1,500 in hand. Leaving a winner didn't affect them leaving the 30% discount letter in my room. My wife struggled to reach 1,200 points, but did so on the final night, and they brought her offer over soon after. Sadly, she wiped out her $800, so net we were down $100. But we have two 30% discount letters in hand, which is great, because with 3 kids we need 2 rooms 😂

I can speak from experience and in every case I have looked at it is better to get the free cruise certificate and Upgrade to the Yacht club. We have 2 cruises booked with certificates and in both cases a 7 day and a 10 day and we saved a lot of money by doing the upgrade versus the 30% off.
