Cash in the Casino

Hi!

 

It's been about 6 years since we have cruised.(had one rescheduled in 2020 and 2021) So finally cruising in April on the Horizon. Woo Hooo!!   Can we still use cash for the slot machines in the casino?  (I don't get on Cruise Critic as much as I use too and I see it has changed its format a bit...I seem to have trouble, nowadays on searches)

 

Also, do they still do the  Slot Pull competition.

Yes to the cash question.

 

They are not doing any tournaments at this time, but that could change by April.

You can insert cash, but you must transfer credits to you room card when you cash out (and then of course you can redeem that from the casino cashier).

Last time I sailed (in November) the slot pull competition was still on hold due to the pandemic, but platinum members received $25 instead.  I've been on 4 cruises since cruising resumed, on 2 of them I was given $25 cash, on the other 2 I was given $25 "free play" on my card (it seems to vary by ship).
