Day 7 TESTING DAY!!!!!  MDR

 

I got up early for the test and I didn’t even study for it the night before!  Went down to MDR level 4 around 8:30AM and a family was in front of me to check in for breakfast.  They told him no because this is for testing but he kept saying level 5 sent him down to 4 because he has a toddler that’s not vaccinated.  I just want to get this swab over with 😂

Thanks for all the great pictures. I'm looking forward to next week's "value" cruise as that is more my speed. We will be sailing on the Oasis in June out of NJ.

I am not complaining but they took a cotton swab you use at home and gently swirled around at the bottom of the nose.  Usually I feel tickling/ discomfort because it’s like half way in, I did not even blink for this one.  Weird!

By 10:10 an email arrived in my inbox and I am cleared for the next cruise!  Waldo will be on the Oasis for the next sailing!

We did spot an owl this morning from our balcony!  Wow!  The legend is real.  Do they feed this owl?  What does the owl eat?  I am worried for the owl.  He looks kind of skinny!

Just to give you a heads up.  Just pulled the trigger on the Easter sailing of the Anthem next year out of Bayonne on 4/9/23.  Never had back to back years embarking from Bayonne before.

I will have to keep that in mind!  We like the Anthem but I always feel that the quantum class ship has an identity crisis.  Not big enough for all the Oasis features but too big for a cozy ship feeling.  It is a beautiful ship!  You might want to check onboard to see if the pricing and the onboard benefit is better when you get on the Oasis.  They also offer OBC when you book onboard too!

Easier to get a negative result that way?   Hmmm.  
 

Honestly, I recently got the worst swab sample possible on my 4 year old and it still showed positive.  I could barely get it in his nose for 1 Second at a time with just the top of the tip in there.  So at the margins it might matter.  But when you have a more acute case I don’t think it takes much.

Covid Update from the captain!  Less than a handful crew tested positive and 2 guests tested positive onboard.

Day 7 Packed a little bit.  I have to move to a different room tomorrow.  Central Park Balcony to Ultra Spacious Ocean View with two bunk beds.  Do not do royal up as a joke unless you really want the room lol.  I put in a minimum bid of $50.00 since the room looks huge figure they will never bite but they bit.  LOL.

My DD her home one and I think she was digging for gold lol. She said it hurt, told her she went up to far.

They offered me an ocean view for $40 and a JS for $50, I’m going to pass.

I would be afraid to call the walker rental place and move my cabin around for 3rd time. Also with my luck I would end up under the pool deck or other loud public place.

Yeah I probably will not do it again unless I really don’t want to be where I picked.  I don’t spend a lot of time in the cabin as is so it’s not for me to pay extra for views.  Don’t get me wrong I liked my Central Park balcony for the first few days and I am glad I did it but if the price is not right I will not do that again!

This rooms are huge.  You will definitely like the extra space.
