Cellular Service (Rogers or Fido)

Has anyone from Canada (Rogers or Fido user) ever used their phone on an NCL ship? What is the charge? As I understand, US mobile customers are charged $2.49/minute for using the Cingular tower....

I am not from Canada but it was a little over $2.00 a minute for Verizon service. That still beats the ship price of $6.95 a minute. You can also use the Credit Card pay phones at ports but i am unsure of the cost.:D

You can change your plan for 1 billing month prior to your cruise to a plan that offers North American long distance...you can make unlimited calls with no roaming fees. I have done this with both Rogers and Telus and it saves in the long run. Service is not always available on Telus but Rogers seems to have a better range in the islands.

I am with Fido and my cell worked in teh Mexican Riviera at all ports! We used the Cingular tower, have not recieved a bill yet! Will let you know when I do!
