lookin4ward Posted February 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2006 My daughter has a flight out of FLL at 12:10 p.m. Will she have enough time to take the Carnival shuttle to the airport from the Miami port or should we take our own luggage off the ship and drive her? I would rather she take the shuttle but we will take her if it looks like there isn't enough time.
Onebusyman Posted February 23, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2006 We skipped the "free" shuttle and hired a taxi. We felt we couldn't wait around while the bus loaded everyone at the pier, then unloaded everyone at the airport. We also arrived before the buses, so the lines at the airport where shorter. We felt it was $20.00 well spent.
Catrin Posted February 23, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2006 .... BUT to FLL it will be a LOT more than $20.00 for a cab, from Miami.....
serene56 Posted February 23, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2006 Depends on when the first bus leaves and when she is off the ship- buses wait til they are filled. Flying out of FLL= we were the last off of the Victory at 10:30 and made it to the airport by 11:30. Your daughter will need to get to the Pursers office and ask for early off tags. Its a 45 minute drive to FLL from the port. Looks like you will be taking her as she will need to be in that airport 2 hours before (10am) abd shuttles might not be running at 9am. A cab will cost 75.00 one way
