The Captain's Cocktail party is the second night on board (formal night).

 

The Past Guest party is never announced because it's by invitation only, and there's never a certain day or time or location. The cruise director decides once the cruise is underway, and you'll only know when you get your invitation delivered to your cabin. (PG parties are held only on cruises five nights or longer.)
