Splendor - Pool Grill for Dinner

Hi all,

It has been so exciting seeing all the posts from resumed cruising ... getting very excited about our 14-day TA in November.   Thank you to those who are bringing us along on your journey now, I'm reading every new post!

Can someone share some examples of what is served at the Pool Grill during dinner?    Just curious - thinking we might want to try it one or two nights if it's good.   Any suggestions on what to order there?

Thanks!

Oh and just to clarify ... I know they have a Pool Grill sample menu on the RSSC website.  So if dinner is the same, all good and no need to respond.  Was just wondering if they altered the menu for dinner.  Thanks!

The pool grills were opened for casual diners dinning per-Covid…. Many people wanted a place to eat dinner without having to dress. There are trip reports from passengers post Covid that the pool grills are open for dinner.

Just got off of the Explorer and the Pool Grill was indeed opened for dinner.  Very casual.  One night while at the Pool Bar, had a grilled lamb chop which was excellent!  Things are cooked ala minute so you can designate doneness and even watch the chef grill your order.

Limited menu but if all you feel like eating is a salad, corn on the cob, grilled lamb chop (or fish or minute steak), you will eat very nicely!  (TBH, if the Pool Grill shuts down again, I suspect it would be just because no one was using it...)

That was the most requested addition on the 2018WC. Many people wanted a casual,  low key, out door place for dinner. They opened the pool grill at night not long after that cruise on all the ships and it was a huge hit. We often wanted some more home like venue during our 137 days. Looking forward to that choice on the 2024WC.
