Any Convenience stores at the port area in NYC?

We are travelling on the Crown to Bermuda on July 16th. We are flying in from Toronto on the 16th and we were wondering if there were any places (within walking distance) near the port to pick up soft drinks and juice before embarkation? It would be difficult and heavy to carry these items on the flight!

There might be some bodegas (kind of like delis). Probably best to ask you cab driver to stop at a supermarket on your way in. You pay for the waiting time, but probably the easiest solution.

The west side by the piers is notoriously poor of services. Manhattan's supermarkets are small and expensive, and Berrmuda isn't cheap either. You are going to pay waiting time in the cab. I would get an extra suitcase put a couple of cases of soda in it and check it through. The chances are you will be called down to open it however....

We saw people with young children bringing Crystal Light in plastic bags and adding it to water bottles at the morning buffet. They were able to do this all day. The powder drink mix blended well with the water. Consider doing that.

Maybe there's a Duane Reade drug store close by. Try going to their website and see if they have some kind of store locator...

Theres not much over by the peir! I would do what someone else suggested and get some juice mix's and bring it with you. Bring some water bottles with you so you can reuse them on the boat.

 

I love the cytral light on the go mix's. I also LOVE the ones from target : rasberry lemonaid and ice tea drink mix. The super market has a lot of brands that sell these on the go drink mix's. They are mix drink portions for a 20oz water bottle and are great for cruising!

The closest Duane Reade to the pier is at 49th st. and 9th Ave. Right on the way. (49th st. even runs West, towards the river!)

but if you're in the market for bagels, they've got some of the best [though i am partial to murray's....]
