star gazer Posted February 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2006 Yesterday in San Pedro, I viewed the QM2 and to me is huge compared to other cruise ships that dock there. One thing did puzzle me; there were two English sedans with Cunard markings on them with uniformed drivers. Are these cars stored on the ship or were they driven from their heardquarters in Valencia, CA?
Winchester Posted February 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2006 I am not under the impression they have car storage on QM2. I know QE2 did have it, as Dad brought a car home in 1969. So I guess they were brought in on land.

DAllenTCY Posted February 24, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2006 The two "cars" on display at San Pedro were Brittish taxi's. One had lettering indicating that it was a "Long Beach" cab. They also were parading a Brittish bulldog with "Queen Mary 2" on it's "robe". I don't believe that either the autos or the dog were based on the ship.
