bluewater2111 Posted March 16, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2022 Hi, we can't fill this for a little while yet, but looking through there's a bit about uploading Biodata under travel information, how do you do this and also how many nights do you put surely it's 0 as we are cruising on the ship? ferretktf Posted March 16, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2022 are you overnighting in Barbados? I am travelling out Friday and the first night is spent on the ship and it does not sail until saturday night - so i placed 1 night down, with P&O AZURA as the Hotel Biodata in the Barbados BIMSAFE App requires a photo of the main page of your passport (the one with all the detals and your photo)
bluewater2111 Posted March 16, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted March 16, 2022 No overnight we leave at 8pm so maybe 0 nights. Might have to do the form from my phone if we need to upload passport pics. Talk about jumping through hoops to go on holiday.
ferretktf Posted March 16, 2022 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2022 yes - i downloaded the BIMSAFE App onto my Android phone For some bits it linked you into Chrome to fill out forms - for other pieces where photos were required it was very easy - you also need to photo your NHS Covid Certificate plus your Covid PCR result (that I am currently waiting for )
ferretktf Posted March 17, 2022 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2022 Update to the above - adding the Covid PCR result was a little fiddly - had to "request a link" to be able to upload the PDF File - alternate was to photo the two pages and upload the photos
bluewater2111 Posted March 17, 2022 Author #6 Share Posted March 17, 2022 (edited) Do you have to download this Bimsafe app? Isn't this for just for tracking those staying in Barbados? We have printed the forms out. Edited March 17, 2022 by bluewater2111 amended
ferretktf Posted March 17, 2022 #7 Share Posted March 17, 2022 i have done because it generates a QR code that is supposed to speed up things on arrival HOWEVER - i'm not sure if that will make any different to bonded cruise passengers. I've also printed things out - gone for Belt 'n' Braces!
bluewater2111 Posted March 17, 2022 Author #8 Share Posted March 17, 2022 I know, we do the same best to be prepared!
CRUIS4ME Posted March 18, 2022 #9 Share Posted March 18, 2022 Just returned from Barbados on 14 night cruise on the Grandeur. There were several hoops we jumped through as we went from through American Airlines, getting into Barbados, and at the port terminal. we used Verifly app and it worked at the American Airlines desk at the airport….we loaded pictures, vaccination records, Covid results, passports, etc. We uploaded and filled out BIMSafe. Again adding vaccination records, passports, photos, and Covid test results as well as immigration form. Bimsafe…ie Barbados government…requires this info at the airport terminal once we landed and before going though their customs. RCCL sent us a form about a week before cruise which we filled out electronically which was required at the port. Again, uploading the info as required. This hoop gave us an appointment at the port for an antigen test AND a reservation number. The paper copy was especially handy at this point. We made copies of QR codes, reservation numbers , etc etc. At each stage, the paper copies seemed, for us, to be handier and more convenient to get through the various checkpoints. So my suggestion is electronic copies on cell and paper copies in a travel binder. The one other lesson we learned was, at the time, we were required a PCR test…nasalphenogeal. We had the correct test done but the paperwork had it written as a nasal swab….Barbados wanted the word nasalphenogeal …. When they rejected our test results, good news was they gave us…and many other passengers..a free nsalaphenogeal swab test. So, if they require a specific test done by a specific medical professional vs home test kit….then make sure you get specifically what they want written in the documents. And, if I may, exiting Barbados at their air terminal was horrendously disorganized and chaotic. Allow five hours for check in and to go through their one man security desk. If it takes less, then it’s a win! Hope this helps. Every
bluewater2111 Posted March 18, 2022 Author #10 Share Posted March 18, 2022 Thanks for this, just about to go for the PCR test, I hope that they will accept the recommended Tui test links for screen 4 at the air terminal as I doubt we can dictate what they describe this test as, otherwise we may as well not pay and go to the effort of driving a distance to get this there and then. Anyone else used Screen 4 and had difficulties at Barbados?

bluewater2111 Posted March 18, 2022 Author #12 Share Posted March 18, 2022 Also, if they need you to use this app then there must surely be free wifi at the airport...my phone isn't going to work in Barbados as there is no coverage.
bluewater2111 Posted April 6, 2022 Author #13 Share Posted April 6, 2022 Well what a waste of time that all was. Printed immigration form, both got the app, uploaded everything and guess what - no one ever asked for this info. Marella need to update their website and information, hassle that would have been avoided.
