Malaga Caminito del Rey

Our stop in Malaga is scheduled to be from 8:00 - 6:00.  Interested in doing a Caminito del Rey tour.  Wondering if anyone has done this as an excursion from a ship ( private or ship based) . It is  not offered as an excursion through Carnival at this time.  If we were to do a private excursion,  I'm a little concerned about time constraints.   Seems that none leave directly from the cruise port. So, it would involve a taxi or some other means of transport before and after the tour.  Any and all info and thoughts would be appreciated.

In 2019, we did a private tour with Smart Holidays Andalusia.  This year we wanted to do the King's Walkway again.  I contacted SHA and did not get a timely response, so booked with Malaga Activa Tours.  I have arranged a private cruise group of 6-8 people.  We will get cruise port pickup at 8:30am and a cruise port drop off about 2:30pm.  The walk is stunning.

We have not walked this Camino but have seen it featured on tv more than once and it looks both spectacular and vaguely terrifying at the same time, especially when the bridge needs to be crossed.

Not useful info I know, so I apologise, but just wanted to say that I hope you can get to do it as I think it would be a lifetime memory. Just don't look down!.

I have visited the area a few times, but never done the walk. My first visit was some years ago when it first reopened and there was hardly anybody there.

I have returned in recent years and it has become very popular with new restaurants opening.it’s a very attractive area to visit even if you don’t do the walk.
