Boarding QR Code

When we were on Quest last November, the Covid testing subcontractor required all pax to register and obtain a QR code, then all tests used the QR to log people in, notify them of results, etc.  Thoughtfully, Azamara never mentioned this in pre boarding procedures and passengers were notified to register by email (if they were able to receive emails as some were traveling) something like 48 hours before boarding.

 

We depart on Pursuit from Barcelona April 2.  Again no communication.

 

For you recent Azamara travelers:. Is this still the procedure for the pre boarding Antigen test at the pier?  If so, in your experience, when can we expect the registration email?

That is a good question as a lot of people will start to travel soon to spend some time in Spain before the cruise. We leave Thursday morning.

We’re due to leave Lisbon on Tuesday 29 March and haven’t had any email re COVID screening as yet.  On our roll call I was told emails were only sent out 4 days beforehand for January cruises but still waiting ☹️.

I also understand that it is possible to get through the covid screening without preregistration, now looking like we could be testing that theory.

I am sure there is a way to do it without the registration. Not everyone has a smart phone. I am also guessing the ship won't be sailing full so that would make check in less tricky.
