Buying Over the Counter Meds in Cozumel

Just a heads up to be a smart shopper when buying Meds in Cozumel.  While the Mega store is convenient, it's prices are not nearly the best.  The other day I was quoted $25 USD for an albuterol inhaler (for asthma).  Across the street at a reputable pharmacy  (not some folks sitting in a hole in the wall) it was 57 Pesos, or just under $3 USD.

That's good information.

Just FYI for others, I live in Mexico and have regularly purchased some medications in Mexico for many years.  Others, it's cheaper to pay the co-pay.  

But if you are uninsured or not sure, check it out and make your own decision.
