flight from jfk to honolulu

hi Iam cruising on pride of aloha on august 20, 06, my flight is on the 18th of august 2 days earlier, my question is anybody know how many hours from jfk new york and are there always layovers? I wont have my flight info until july, also the time difference is 5 hours from new york, so do i gain day going and lose a day coming home due to time change any info will be greatly appreciated.:rolleyes:
