Day 6 

 

So far I enjoy the Edge, it’s a beautiful ship and the crew interaction has been great.  Although I have to say it is very compartmentalized.  You don’t get that relationship you get at M / S class ships.   It’s a different experience and I feel like they are moving more towards Royal Caribbean with the E class ships and Royals newest Oasis Class is moving towards the E Class ship on Celebrity.  Not sure that’s a good thing but when you are under one umbrella things are bound to merge a bit and I not a fan of this movement.  The ship is phenomenal and the entertainment has been amazing (Oasis class variety and quality) the crew are cordial and pleasant but not like on the M / S class ships where they always want to do more for you without asking and that personal touch.

Does the widebody flight from KLM still land there?  Saw it a few years ago and it dwarfed all of the other planes.  Had seen a YouTube video of it taking off when the blow back sent people flying off of the fence.

That I am not sure.  I only check for the day that I am there and usually after 1 PM you get a few good ones.

Benny...is this rum factory walkable from the ship or only through a tour that stops to shop.  Looks like my kind of place with over a dozen flavors to sample.

This is not walkable for a reasonable walk!  This is Toppers Rum factory and it is between Maho Beach and the cruise terminal.  You get four samples of the rum they pour and two specialty ones ( the flavor ones from the spout) you can also try the gelato too!

I am not a fan of the Solarium on the Edge because instead of 2 semi big hot tub there is one large tub for human stew and it is always crowded!

The Knights and they are AMAZING!  I met one of them on San Juan and he was so soft spoken but when he sings… that voice … WOW

I will end this cruise with Fine Cut.  The service and the crew is much better at Fine Cut than Eden than Le Petit Chef.  But I do have to say that the food at Le Petit Chef is amazing and I have no problem going back!

Day 7 The Knights … Loved this production … must see!  I know Royal started this labeling thing about signature entertainer… this should definitely be a signature headliner !
