Rare nunuc2000 Posted April 14, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2022 How early can we drop off our luggage at Canada Place for a Princess cruise? And... after dropping off the luggage, is there somewhere close by and convenient to get breakfast? Arriving at 9am and not boarding until early afternoon, would love to walk a bit and get breakfast without lugging around our big suitcases. 🙂
Rare martincath Posted April 15, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2022 Of course as usual things may have changed since TheBeforeTimes, but assuming nothing radical then you can officially drop bags at the pier beginning some time between 10 and 10:30am - the timing depends mostly on how many ships docked that day, as they need unloaded first. In practise, bag drop can happen a lot earlier - we've done it barely after 9am ourselves, although you may find that rather than the regular and obvious bag drop at the conveyor belts you need to go wandering (following signs for early bag drop) to find a couple of longshoremen guarding luggage cages. Depending on your definition of close and convenient you will have a few to a metric buttload of brekkie options - if you have no price cap on what a breakfast should cost then right upstairs is the Pan Pacific hotel, right across the street the Fairmont Waterfront, and another block down the even fancier Fairmont Pacific Rim all of which will happily empty your wallet for typical overpriced hotel buffet breakfasts! On the other end of the spectrum Tim Hortons is across the road too, but hidden underground in a mall. Personally, I still think the best breakfast downtown is in Medina - not far to walk if you have stashed your bags already, and they've simplified opening times to 9am-3pm daily with resos available now (which avoids the long queue that they still had years after opening - if it's a weekend you can still expect a 45min+ wait for a table without a reso)

If the weather is nice (May 25th, so as long as it's not raining it's very likely to be quite pleasant), then I think we'll probably get a last great cuppa at Timmies and go walking for awhile - thanks for all the info! 🙂
