people who booked guarantee will go higher so the lower decks can sell at a better rate then the cabins on the higher decks.

6555 is a connecting promanade cabin. (most people prefer to be more mid to have a better view of the promanade deck.)

deck 6 balconies have a metal balcony instead of a plexiglas one. Kind of gives the balcony a closed in feeling. THe balcony does serve its purpose those.

I noticed on a picture of the Mariner that the deck 6 balconies look the same as the ones above (plexiglass). Since the Mariner and the Navigator are the same, can anyone please confirm the deck 6 balconies do no have the steel structure in front as the previous post says.

Thanks

Since the Mariner is one of the last built I dont think the ship has the metal partitions on the balcony

I booked a guarantee because that was all available at the time on the Navigator but switched to a hump cabin when one became available on deck 6, I am pretty happy about that!

I much prefer knowing what cabin I am getting ahead of time, sometimes guaranteed cabins don't mean you will get a cabin on a higher floor than the lowest category, so chances are with a a guarantee I could have ended up with a balcony on deck 6 anyway.

The balconies on the Navigator are all plexiglass, the AOS and older voyager class ships have the metal.I suggest you keep checking the site to see if any new cabins are released if you are not happy with your cabins.

From what I have read deck 6 seems to be pretty popular as people like that you can walk down the stairs to the promenade.

Here is a very good site to compare the different voyager class ships, you can see lots of pics of the Navigator and the all glass balconies on all decks.

Some close up pics of the balconies, as you can see all glass and the lifeboats are not obstructing your view.
