Hop on off Athens

Has anyone taken the hop on off bus from the cruise terminals then transferred to a longer route?  Can you recommend a hop on off company that had clearly marked stops and transfers?

There is only the hop on/off. They do stop at the cruise terminal, they are more designed to get on/off to go sight seeing at tourist attractions. They do go into the center of Athens. If your looking just to get to down town Athens with bags & baggage maybe a taxi would be better.

I don't recall the name of the operator, but yes there's (at least) one which offers a transfer route from the port to the Acropolis and then Syntagma Square (near Parliament buildings), and a city centre route which includes Syntagma Square. The city route can be bought separately, I don't know about the Piraeus transfer route.

The city route is pretty boring, the main sights can be visited on foot, starting at the Acropolis (best go there early because of the heat and crowds later in the day)

I don't recall the other stops, but we had no difficulty finding them

 

 

But the cheapest easy way from the port is on the X80 Express bus (May to October)

There are two routes Blue & Red. Red does the city, Blue goes from the Acropolis to the port. If you google hop on/hop off Athens it will give you maps cost etc.
