Princess Lodges in Alaska - Laundry Facilities

Doing a cruisetour in Alaska for the first time in a few weeks. Saw online that the lodges have laundry facilities. DW wants to know more details. Do we need to bring our own soap, softener, etc. If some is available for purchase, anyone remember what it is?

They will have laundry detergent for sale.  I have also read that some people bring a laundry pod and a dryer sheet with them.  If you do this, I would make sure it is stored in a container that will prevent it from being squished.

Yes, they do have machines and sell soap.  I wasnt interested at the time to pay too much attention, but my memory thinks Tide!  Though I wont bet money on it!

We did laundry once  at one of the lodges. We went to the laundry room as soon as we got our bags in our room. The machines took quarters and there were only 2 in the building as i recall(2019). We brought enough detergent from home to do 2 loads. If the machines are busy,check in the adjacent building laundry room! Not all of the buses or buildings are on the same schedule!
