FLL hotels Dec 16--what is going on?

Am trying to book a hotel for 4 and almost everything is booked. Looking for something where we can sleep as we get in at 12:45AM and go to Port on the 17th

Also want 2 bad days --the 24th and 25 for 2 and the 31st til the 4th for 2. Is something on in town or just the Christmas season?

Might just be the season. Why don't you call or e-mail one of the hotels and see what they say is the reason.
