Jason's Storm Posted March 3, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2006 How about loose stones? I'm thinking of looking for loose sapprires(sp) and tanzanite. ~JS
jkloni Posted March 7, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 7, 2006 Appears to win hands down. Marigot is alot more expensive. For instance - Golf Shirt - $18 in Marigot. We got to Phillipsburg. The exact same shirt (checked shirt tags) 3/$20. Beach bag with wrap, scrunchie, etc. $22 in Marigot, $9.95 in Phillipsburg. Liquor is unbelievably inexpensive. $5.95 for Tanqueray Gin. $8.95 Kaulua, $5.95 Absolute Vodka, $7.95 Vanilla Absolute Vodka. All 1 ltr bottles. Petron was not a deal. It was $39.99 and we can get it at Sam's at home for $33.77. Check the stores. Ray's was more than the store a little further down (Carribean something-we bought here.) A note on the watches. Some of the finer watches are price fixed. I went to 3 islands and several stores and the prices were the same. I couldn't get them to go $1 less. They said they could lose there ability to sell them. So your watch should be less then in the States, but you may not be able to bargain a whole lot. (Still try!) The store is located across from the GUAVA BERRY EMPORIUM (11 a Front Street, Unit # 3, The Village). Just speak to the owner, Sanjay, and he will take very good care of you.
