chocolate melting cake Posted May 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 24, 2022 Feb. 2023 we'll need an overnight in Long Beach going from one cruise ship to another the next day. I see the Queen Mary is closed---and the Maya Hotel states fully booked. Is there another hotel in the area which would provide transportation to/from the cruise dock? Bruin Steve Posted May 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 24, 2022 Not sure of the current status of free hotel shuttles (nothing's really free--it's just accounted for in the pricing) but, there are a number of hotels within a $10 or less Uber ride... The Residence Inn Downtown is across the street from the Maya, so just a slightly longer walk to the Carnival terminal (are both cruises Carnival?). The Hyatt Centric at the Pike, Hyatt Regency, Renaissance, Westin and Hilton are all just across the bridge in the Convention Center area and closer to restaurants and shopping. You could call each and ask about shuttles--or just figure a few extra bucks for Ubers into your hotel price.
KeepCalmBearOn Posted May 24, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2022 I like the Hotel Maya well enough, but I'd rather be in the Pike area (Hyatt Centric, Hyatt Regency) to be close to good dining and then just pay the $10 to Uber to the terminal.
