FLL in the spring - beach question

I know this isn't really a hotel-related question, but I know there are so many nice and helpful FLL residents on here, so I thought I'd ask away! :)

We will be in FLL on March 10-11 pre-cruise (almost here!), and were wondering if the weather is usually pleasant/warm enough to swim at the beach without freezing our tails off. We have tentative plans to go to Hollywood Beach on Sat. morning, and are hoping that it will be warm and sunny. (PS--keep in mind, we have been swimming in the cold waters of Pacific Mexico the last 2 years, rather than the Atlantic and/or Gulf, so warm is definitely relative)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/info!

Last Friday it was in the 80's, dropped to the 70's on Saturday and Sunday. Today it's a chilly 68 degrees. The long range forecast for the next two weeks shows high 70's to low 80's. You can expect the ocean temperature to be 72-74 degrees. I little cool for me but plenty warm for anyone from up north. I think you'll find the ocean temp just right. ;)

ps, the Canadians are swimming in it today so it can't be that cold.
