Entirely up to you. nobody's going to complain if you tip zilch

They're paid a decent wage, they don't need tips to make a living.

Wages are their bread and butter, tips are the jelly on top and need to be earned.

If the guide is good & you've enjoyed it, then show your appreciation - but nowhere near as much as you would in the States. For two of you, mebbe €5, €10 tops.

If the guide isn't up to much, choose not to tip at all.

Good guides do well, poor tips tell a guide that he/she needs to up their game.

Some tip the driver a euro or two.

If the route has been on very challenging  roads, (and there are lots of them out there) we always tip the driver in appreciation of his driving skills- and our safe return!. Tipping the guide depends on quality of the guiding, but usually less than we tip the driver as he is more important to us.
