mcello77 Posted February 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2006 Sailing on the Jewel in just about a month, we are a group of 12 that will probably want to eat together every night. I want to mix it up with the main restaurants and the specialty restaurants. How do you know when to eat where? I do not want to miss the good nights (lobster etc) in the main dining rooms but I know that I will have to make all the reservations on the first night. What to do?!? cul8er Posted February 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2006 It is my understanding that the lobster is available in every restaurant on formal night. I have also heard that the menus do not change from night to night, so you can just book them based on availability and you should be fine. SMILING IRISH EYES Posted February 28, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2006 I thought I read that the theme changes every night but the 2 main dining rooms carry the same menu. Can anyone out there shed some light? It would be nice to know which nights are what? So far all I can figure out is that Formal night is the first full day at sea. FloridaKitty15 Posted March 1, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2006 I will think that every night there different menus on different restaurants. Don't they tell you what kinds of meals with serving on each restuarant. Also what is the best desert? Where do they serve the most food?
Tutone56 Posted March 1, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 1, 2006 I don't know about the speciality restaurants, we ate at Tsar's, Mama's, Azura, and Tangos along with the Garden Cafe. cruisingbooboo Posted March 1, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 1, 2006 Hi, make your reservations as soon as you step on board!!! I really liked Mama's, Tangos and Cagney's was my favorite. We got locked out of the Japanese one :( Chin Chin was Ok, the Garden Cafe had nice meals all the time. I thought Tsar's has a better atmosphere that Azura's but thats just me.In the specialty resturants the menu doesn't change. The lobster was on the 1st full night at sea. Good Luck, enjoy :)
mcello77 Posted March 1, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted March 1, 2006 Thanks for all the help everyone! Looks like it will be Tsars for lobster on the second night. Now all I have to do is make sure we plan around all the shows. So much to do who has time to eat, I don't want to miss anything!

2boyzmom Posted March 1, 2006 #9 Share Posted March 1, 2006 Definitely choose a specialty restaurant for your last night on board. That is the worst menu of the week in the main dining rooms...
