turnin50 Posted June 28, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2022 Can anyone here tell me if the casinos are open on Hawaii sailings? I know casinos are closed in ports but I'm hearing Hawaii sailings the casinos are closed even at sea because of the no gambling law in the state of Hawaii. In the past the casinos have been open most nights as the move out beyond the state limits. However that did not include nights when the stay in port till midnight. And we do have all those sea days for gambling. I have not been on a Hawaiian cruise for several years This applies to the Princess round trips from the west coast. Those NCL cruises that stay in the islands May and probably are different Edited June 28, 2022 by memoak

Lil2Angelic Posted November 10, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 10, 2022 We just sailed Carnival's 14 Day Hawaii itinerary round trip from Long Beach. The casino opens shortly after leaving each port and was always open on sea days. This was our third time sailing this itinerary, and it's been this way every time. NCL's Pride of America does the Hawaiian island itinerary. That ship does not have a casino.
rwmiller Posted December 2, 2022 #6 Share Posted December 2, 2022 We cruised Ruby Princess from San Francisco this year. When we were in Hawaii the casino was closed from the time we arrived in the first port (Hilo) until we left the last port (Kahului). Bob

Open on all the sea days to and from the mainland, but once we hit Hawaii, no casino until we left the islands for good.
KelJ Posted February 15, 2023 #8 Share Posted February 15, 2023 We will be on RCCL Ovation for nine nights from Vancouver to Honolulu. Days 7 and 8 are in Maui; Day 9 cruises the Napali Coast; and Day 10 disembarks In Honolulu. Will the casino close sometime during the night of Day 6 and stay closed for the remainder of the cruise?
