We just found out as we got in our room that the splash academy is closed for the entire week of the cruise. We got the arcade package for free as a result.

It also took nearly 2.5 hours from parking to boarding today at port Canaveral.

Giving ALL the kids unlimited arcade passes is just gonna jam 50+ kids in a tiny room… maybe not the next choice by NCL.

Correct. Not a supplement.  Man as parents we could have used some breaks. This is our first time on ncl too.

That's REALLY got to be frustrating if you brought your children for this vacation, the kids clubs are integral to a lot of families cruise vacations. I'm sorry to hear that; we sail on 8/6 so out of pure selfishness, please keep us updated on any other shenanigans or pleasant surprises on board if you can. Sorry about the long boarding process, too.

Seems Getaway is having a few hiccups, but it could be a heck of a lot worse!

Still have all yours ports?

Currently we have our ports. I do not expect to get to St. Thomas as they have skipped three times in a row.  Will keep you updated.

Dinner was decent. Kids did the arcade for 30 minutes. It was crowded but they had fun. Making the best of no kids clubs.

Keeping fingers crossed for St-Thomas, Sailing the Getaway on August 12 and 20th and have scuba diving booked there both weeks.

It's a shame about Splash Academy. Maybe they are short on youth activity staff?

I would guess the 2 are both related to a high number of Covid cases. It’s likely many of the Splash Academy staff had a positive test and the number of cases onboard also exceeded the threshold that St Thomas has to allow ships to dock. It would also explain why there is no explanation offered by NCL.
