For anyone who participated in Karaoke on NCL lately....

Hey there, sailing out of Port Canaveral on Aug. 6 on the Getaway. Does the karaoke setup vary between ships/class of ship, are there set lists/list of specific songs, do they ever -update- that list, and can you "B-Y-O-Music"? I know this sounds silly, but my husband and I like to duo and if there are certain songs we have to stick to, we have to do some planning and practice before we "go on stage." I tried to find some pertinent information, but I couldn't dig up anything past 2014. TIA!

Just off the Bliss and did the Karaoke and sang It's My Life by Bon Jovi better than he sings it these days.

 

I don't think you'll need to worry. they have books with hundreds of pages by both artist and song title. I'm into Rock Music and the had stuff I had never seen before on a Karaoke by The Ramones, Iron Maiden, Led Zep, Sabbath and more

 

One tip though, get there early as it was popular and people were getting the song requests in early too.q

The setup seems hit and miss and different on every ship. Last November on Epic it was an unwieldy PDF file on Amazon Fire tablets with not any easy way to search.

I never looked at the list (I didn't perform) I just recall that there was definitely an eclectic selection being performed.  There was one song included in the catalog, and performed, that might have even made a Navy sailor blush.  I recall the grandparents sitting behind me rushing to get their 10 year-old grandson to cover his ears and repeating to him that he was not to talk that way.  This was at a late-night session on the last night, one of the crew members told me after the session was over that it was intended to be an "adult" session but it wasn't listed as such in the FSD.  Maybe it was implied that it was because of what time it was?
