Flight & Hotel Question

If I book a cruise with flights included (from Detroit to Sydney, Australia), and then book a hotel for the night before through NCL as well (in Australia), is NCL responsible if there are flight delays or cancellations?  I see where it is covered under Book Safe - "If your air and/or hotel is arranged by Norwegian Cruise Line, it’s covered under BookSafe.", but does that mean I have to buy insurance through Book Safe??  Can't seem to find that in writing anywhere.

I believe this means that if you have the BookSafe travel insurance from NCL they will also cover the flights and hotels arranged by NCL if you need to cancel for some reason.  That is NOT an assurance that they will get you to the ship.
