Laser77 Posted August 2, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2022 Hi all, does anyone have any experience of going on the following NCL shorex? Florence and Pisa on your own. - leaving ship at 10:30 Scenic Rome with transfer - leaving ship at 8:30 Trying to be proactive and book gallery and attraction tickets before we sail but struggling as most want a time slot and NCL can't tell me when we are due to arrive in the cities. Trying to avoid spending the limited time we have in Florence and Rome standing in queues :-( I'm told we should get this information when we are on the ship, but not sure when this happens (first cruise) Many thanks for any info. Laser77 Posted August 25, 2022 Author #2 Share Posted August 25, 2022 We never were able to get this information until actually getting on the bus so just in case it helps anyone.... We arrived in Florence at 14:20 and left around 17:50 Were unable to book Uffizi Gallery in advance due to lack of time information but fortunately there wasn't a queue when we arrived so it all worked out. Well worth a visit! 2
Travelling2Some Posted August 27, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 27, 2022 Very useful information. I find this lack of communication the single most annoying thing about cruising (as opposed to land vacations where you can plan your time and make reservations with more confidence). But I think we are in the minority as many cruisers go to the same places over and over and become very "la de da" about sightseeing. We were anxious to leave the ship one morning to make a reservation and there was never an announcement that the gangway was open.
