If i have to cancel an upcoming cruise

I don’t know all of the details, but yes you will get back your dining and drink package.

Correct. If you didn't book with a refundable deposit (which it sounds like you probably didn't but it can't hurt to verify), you would forfeit the deposit, but anything else you bought through the cruise planner--excursions, dining, beverage packages--would be canceled and refunded to you.

If you CHANGE the sailing instead of cancel it altogether, you will only forfeit a $100pp change fee, and the rest of the deposit will be a Future Cruise Credit.  

All Cruise Planner purchases will be refunded to your original payment form.
