Shine Posted March 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2006 We just purchased a liquor package for our Constellation sailing...(Captain Morgan). The rep that we spoke to said there would be a voucher in our room that we bring to the On Board Liquor store and they would provide us with the liquor, sodas and peanuts. I thought this would be in the room upon arrival. Has anyone purchased the liquor package and had it presented this way? thanks.... Shine
Spender Nui Posted March 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2006 Yes, we got a liter of Stoli, 6 cans of soda and some snacks. My recollection is the cost was $50. High but easy (other than actually getting what you asked for ... and in a timely fashion).
aloanldy Posted March 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2006 There was a voucher in our room, we did have to go to the front desk, however they delivered it to our room. They just made sure of what we wanted. Since the liquor packages just say certain liquors and certain beverages they verify which liquor you want and which soft drink to go with it. It was painless and arrived quite quickly. Charlie
frchteaze Posted March 2, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2006 Is the pre-arranged liquor package the only way you can purchase alcohol on X for room consumption or can you buy a bottle on the ship once you get there?
janrj7 Posted March 2, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2006 On Infinity a few weeks ago, we had pre-ordered a liquor package. Upon arrival, there was a form in the room asking for the brands requested. (We had specified this on the fax, btw.) We filled out the form; our room steward took it, and the items were delivered later that night. We did not have to visit the store or the front desk. The bottle was 750 ml, NOT a full liter, as many posters have received. Those are just the facts; here's my opinion, fwiw: Not sure if it was worth $55 to me. (It was convenient, however.) Also, their web site should specify the size bottle they are selling. And no, never have been able to purchase a bottle in the shop and take it to the room, in my own experience. Hope this helps! :) Jan

Brucemcdou Posted March 3, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 3, 2006 Is the pre-arranged liquor package the only way you can purchase alcohol on X for room consumption or can you buy a bottle on the ship once you get there? Frchteaze - On Millennium in November we got (several) of the liquor packages during the course of the cruise to use for entertaining in our cabin. We asked our cabin steward about it, and she told us to call the Guest Relations desk. The things were delivered later that day. The desk called in the evening each time to verify that we had gotten what we requested. The prices on-board are the same as are posted for pre-ordering. Just FWIW, we got both vodka and gin, and received one liter bottles of each, along with the six sodas of your choice, and the nut packages.
