NIkkiGR Posted August 10, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2022 Has anyone taken the Knossos Express bus in Heraklion to Knossos? If so could you kindly tell me which bus station you caught the bus at. I have found conflicting information on the websites Thanks
capriccio Posted August 10, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2022 Since this doesn't sound like a Princess specific excursion, I suggest posting on the Greek sub-forum under European Ports of Call: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/463-greece-ports/
Nang Posted October 10, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 10, 2022 I know its been a while since you asked but this has the information on the map of the port halfway through the document https://santorinidave.com/heraklion-port-crete . I gives arough indication of the location of the bus stop Knossos – The largest and best-known ancient Minoan palace complex in Crete. Admission is 15€ (or save some money with a 16€ combo ticket to the Archaeological Museum). Located 5km south of Heraklion; the #2 bus to Knossos departs from the Port bus terminal (4-minute walk from the port) every 15-20 mins or so.
Rare carlmm Posted October 10, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 10, 2022 It was basically right there close to the port exit, somewhat in the same compound, when we were there.
california mike Posted November 15, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 15, 2022 I recommend you just go to the archeological museum. Its excellent. Knossos itself is pretty much rubble. They are not sure how most of the site was used. Some of its been reconstructed. We were not impressed. You'll probable have better options in another port.
