Aft Cabins [wake view] Britannia - Advice

Hello

We are considering an aft standard balcony cabin on Britannia for a Caribbean cruise next year.

Could you please share the good and bad points of these cabins, and which, if any decks are better than others. Not much choice left at the moment, but we are looking at E739.

And, on a related topic, we were planning to arrive so that the first day of the holiday will be spent in Barbados, rather than the last day [if that makes sense!]

Again, your advice would be welcome.

Thank you.

Hi.   We had a standard aft cabin on Britannia to the Fjords one time. Great position to watch the scenery and sea.We did have a problem with soot though from the funnels (?)  Quite often the balcony was rather dirty with it. I believe they fitted some new equipment in this area to lessen this at a refit . So might not be as bad now.

Some more recent cruisers will know better.

The canopies which were meant to help with soot have apparently made the upper deck aft balconies be completely shaded. I  not sure how far down is affected but met a very disgruntled lady at Christmas.

We had one such balcony. It wasn't the best if you love the sun like I do but my OH doesn't so he sat on the balcony a lot.
