Hi,

I just reserved a full day pass at the Coco Beach Club. I noticed that they charged me "taxes" on the purchase. Can anyone explain why there is a tax charge. I have booked many Royal Caribbean excursions and i have never seen a tax charge.

Thanks

It started either first thing this year or late last year--it's a tax the Bahamas charges.  So we had to pay tax on our cabana.  You also pay tax on drinks you order on the island, unless you have the beverage package.  Anything you purchase to use/do on the island via the planner or while on the island is subject to that Bahamian tax now.
