Princess insurance refund

If your cruise is cancelled, how and if, do you get your Princess purchased insurance back? We purchased the standard insurance through Princess and are fearful one of our cruises will be cancelled.  Thanks!

If Princess cancels the cruise, they will refund everything you paid, including the insurance.

 

If you cancel the cruise before final payment, Princess will also refund what you paid for insurance.

 

This is one advantage of Princess Vacation Protection over some third-party insurance policies.

When our Sept. 2020 Med. cruise was cancelled, about all that we had already paid was the Princess insurance (and maybe a deposit--can't remember). Anyway, the total amt. we had paid, including the insurance, was refunded by Princess (when we chose a refund rather than FCC).
