Is their program the same whether you are on a newer ship verus an older ship? What about a 4 night cruise? We have found some REALLY good deals for a couple of 4 night cruises but they are on the Sensation and Imagination.. We are taking them on a 7 night on a newer ship later on but we are looking at a few long weekend getaways and just wanted to know if we should expect the same? Thanks.. By the way this is for a 5 and an 8 year old..

Our children's first cruise was on the Sensation. The children's rooms were very small. MUCH smaller than the Paradise and Triumph. Did they enjoy it? YES, they loved it. The counselors are still great! There's still enough room for the kids. There is no indoor play area, which is the biggest difference, other than size.

I wouldn't hesitate to book on an older ship again.

Sorry, I forgot. The Sensation was a 7 day so I cannot comment on the length, but I agree with the above post, I doubt there's any difference.

We just got back from the Elation. Excellent Cape Carnival program and counselors. We were very very impressed! They really went out of their way to take care of our 2 1/2 year old DS.

The program overall is great and the biggest benefit of the newer ships is larger more up to date dedicated space for camp. The program is consistently good no matter the length of cruise but does vary some depending on the number of children on board. They know the week prior how many they will have so they know if tghey need to break some of the activities up say in the 2 to 5 group some things will get divided into 2&3 and 4&5 if large amounts of kids. They know their stuff.
