Getting to Miami port from bright line station

Cruising out of Miami in November but staying in Fort Lauderdale (due to costs). I'm planning to take bright line from Fort Lauderdale and it looks like from Google maps that the Miami station is maybe about three blocks to the Bayside area.

Is it possible to walk into the port or is the best option going to be to get an Uber to from bright line to the port?

it is possible

but you'd have to cross the bridge (up and over) that connects the mainland to Dodge Island - the port

and depending on who you are sailing your walk could be nearly 2.5 miles .... and the port isn't really set up for foot traffic and car/truck traffic is heavy ....

i'd taxi/uber

You request the free shuttles when you book the train tickets in advance.

There are two different shuttles:

One is the free courtesy shuttle that can take you from the Station to the Port.  It leaves every hour, and is space available (first come first served).  You don't book or request it; you just get off the train and get on the shuttle if it is there, or wait for one to arrive.

The other is Brightline+ program.  It's a Tesla or Shuttle that you reserve ahead of time.  But you pay for it:  it is included with a First Class ticket, or you can pay $5 more to the Basic ticket.  The First Class ticket is for a private ride; the $5 Basic charge is for a shared ride.
