Hammer61 Posted September 4, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2022 We sail next month and were looking at some of the dinning options, we only really want Wonderland, and my cruise planner is saying if I book now the price has a 15% discount to the onboard price, now when I log into the app its saying the onboard price is US$59.99 for Wonderland on our sailing in October My RCI account is in Australian dollars so $59.99 is about A$87.50 and guess what the price they are offering in the cruise planner at a 15% discount is its A$87.50??? So just out of curiosity I did the same with Chops Grill, Jamie’s, Izumi, all offering a supposed 15% discount to the onboard price but NONE in fact have any discount if you convert from $US to A$………UNLESS prices are about to go up 15% in the next 5 weeks which is when we board. Rare rudeney Posted September 4, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2022 Ignore the discounts - they are marketing hype. They can claim it's discounted but not be. As an example, on our next cruise, they claim that $65 for the DBP is a 35% Labor Day sale discount, but the week before it was $70 with no discount. It's also been listed as 20% off at $75. There is no "real" price until you get on the ship.
