Never did a cruise in the fall--whats to get away from I thought?? Always go in Jan. But looking at prices and they are nice and low in the fall. I know it is hurricane season but I also know no ship will be caught in it.

If we do get to island ports, (looking at Navigator-western-cozumel, Jamaica, GC, and labadee) will the weather be nice and warm for beach days and will the water be warmer or cooler than it is in Jan.

Thanks.

This is a great response. I can see it's not just one or two ports that are great in the Fall. I too thought that the winter was great to "get away" but to me early fall, before it's too hot and not too cold is just perfect! Thanks everyone for posting your cruises and I hope everyone has a blast!

But then again..........I know you will! :D

You all keep saying not too hot...in the fall. Are the temps cooler in the fall as compared to Jan or Feb. I am looking for warmer not cooler since we do Jan and many times we cannot get into the water--yes even in Cozumel, GC....brrrrrr. Even this past Jan in St Maarten i had to just do it and then after awhile i was numb enough not to really care.....but forget swimming at coco cay...only the kids were in.... OUr 9 and 11 year old did not think it was that cold.....

So pls what do you mean by not as hot....as when...thanks.

Fall in the Caribbean is perfect. During the day, either on the ship or in port, you can wear shorts and be comfortable -- it's not so hot that you'll break a sweat just walking around. It's plenty warm to wear swimsuits and lie out, and a dip in the warm water is welcome, but not a necessity because of the heat. Once the sun goes down, you'll want a light jacket.

The weather in the Southern/Eastern Caribbean does not change year round, we have hot days all year. The only seasons are rainy and dry (and hurricane!) Dry season runs from January to May, from June to December is the wet season and which aslo coincides with the hurricane season (June to November).

There is no marked temperature change really, except for cooler nights in December and January.
