Is terminal 1 El-Prat Airport linked to the city by high speed train

Not a high speed (AVE) train, but regular RNFE stock.  3 stations on the way to the City.

Also the airport station is at Terminal 2B so it is necessary to take a shuttle bus from T1 to T2B.

Better to take the Aerobus or a taxi (fixed fare).

It all depends on where your hotel is as city might be too broad of an area. Like @VMax1700 had linked, there are buses, metro, trains. The airport is barely 3 miles from the city center: there's nowhere for the high-speed train to fit as the city is so close. That's Barcelona, because...

😊We stayed in Tarragona for a few days and left our large checked bag in Barcelona at our hotel. It was easy traveling by train to Tarragona ....amazing Roman ruins and amphitheater! 🤓
