Old or New port at Mykonos with Celestyal

The "old port" is the little harbour in the town, unsuitable for cruise ships.

Cruise ships berth at the "new port", a couple of miles north of the town. At the new port are buses and taxis, and a water-bus which ferries folk into the old harbour.

But if there's no room at the new port (or occasionally if the sea conditions are considered to be unsuitable for berthing) cruise ships moor off the town and passengers are tendered into the old port - one of the rare occasions when tendering is as convenient as berthing🙂. When its happened to us tendering has been with local boats - very quick & efficient.
You might tender when your itinerary says berthed, or vice versa - you won't know for sure until the day.

The town of Mykonos fronts the old port - lots of waterfront bars, restaurants & such, and you'll probably meet Petros (google the feller). Behind the harbour the town is a warren of immaculate alleyways, then the line of iconic windmills, and on the rocky western side of town the restaurants etc of "Little Venice".

There's a small beach at the end of the harbour but its very poor and has no facilities - if you want a beach day take a taxi to somewhere like Super Paradise beach, about 5 miles out of town.
