Taxi from San Antonio port to Santiago, Chile

Advance booked transfers from San Antonio port to Santiago, especially private ones, are really expensive. Several sources say a taxi ride will cost $85-110, which is much better. My question is whether it is easy to get a taxi upon arrival at the port, or whether we might get stuck there. Is it OK to wait until arrival to grab a cab to the capital? Thanks in advance for any good advice!

Depends on the day you what to do I guess if taxis are an option, and the size of your group. We have a January 1, 2023 (New Year's Day) Sailing from that port, and a group of 6. SO, we were advised by someone who used to live in the area actually that a private transfer was the best bet as "Chileans "go hard for NYE, and no one will be up early."  It is a lot more expensive, but oh well. We will be in Santigo for NYE and hope to join in the fun.  Good luck, I hope you work it out.
