RBMsail Posted November 9, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2022 Advance booked transfers from San Antonio port to Santiago, especially private ones, are really expensive. Several sources say a taxi ride will cost $85-110, which is much better. My question is whether it is easy to get a taxi upon arrival at the port, or whether we might get stuck there. Is it OK to wait until arrival to grab a cab to the capital? Thanks in advance for any good advice!
mcmarya Posted November 9, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2022 Have you thought about taking the bus? In the past they have left right from the port. We've done it but it was 2018.
RBMsail Posted November 10, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted November 10, 2022 Thanks for your response. We know about the buses, but prefer a more private trip. Thanks again!
Shella73 Posted November 11, 2022 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2022 Depends on the day you what to do I guess if taxis are an option, and the size of your group. We have a January 1, 2023 (New Year's Day) Sailing from that port, and a group of 6. SO, we were advised by someone who used to live in the area actually that a private transfer was the best bet as "Chileans "go hard for NYE, and no one will be up early." It is a lot more expensive, but oh well. We will be in Santigo for NYE and hope to join in the fun. Good luck, I hope you work it out.
