Patagonia Cruise - Holland vs Princess vs Celebrity?

Hubby and I are considering booking a cruise of Patagonia for early 2024. We’re interested in scenery and wildlife and at the time of the cruise we’ll be 75 and 67 years old.

I see Princess and Holland both have 14 days cruises which include a stop in the Falklands and Celebrity has a 12 day cruise that skips the Falklands.

Without counting the Falklands, can anybody comment on the number and quality of the excursions and sightseeing on the various cruises?  When looking at the itineraries online it looks like maybe the Celebrity cruise stays farther from the coast along the west side, while maybe Princess and Holland get closer. But it’s hard to tell from the itinerary maps on the websites.

I’d love to hear from anybody with experience of these cruises!  Thanks.

We did not go on the cruise lines you mentioned.  We went on an 18 day Santiago (Valparaiso) to Buenas Aires cruise on Viking Ocean.  It was fabulous!  These photos here are of the route the ship took through Patagonia.  When we sailed from Valparaiso to Puerto Montt it was overnight offshore and we did not see much.  From Puerto Montt we sailed inside for part of the day and then offshore.  But when offshore we saw land.  The next day we woke up sailing the inside passage weaving through narrow channels and around islands to the Amalia Glacier and continued inside to Punta Arenas and then Ushuaia.

I wrote our story for family and friends and included photos from the ship and on excursions.  If you are interested, you can find all the chapters at www.tomko2travel.blogspot.com.  We were 68 and 69 years of age when we did the cruise.
