Platnium Status

Has anyone started receiving any special treatment for Platnium Status (more than ten Carnival Cruises)? We are long time Carnival cruisers but it seems as if any cruises taken before 1994 are not in their data base and they won't add them unless you can prove a date and booking number. Our upcoming April 9th cruise will be number 11 (and Platnium) if I can proove two cruises ( Holiday and Fantasy) before 1994! Is it worth me looking for an old luggage tag (that is actually how we once got a past guest discount on NCL!--we sent them that and the boarding picture from 1986!)

Thank you I will check back! I just thought someone had a quick answer. I guess I'll also find some ideas as to other ways to prove old cruises if I can't find that luggage tag!

Proving old cruises:

 

Do you have regular Kodak pictures of you on the ship or in front of the ship that may have the date on the back? Maybe little stuff like the old stickers they used to give you to get on and off the ship. Perhaps a combination of memorabilia (sp?) and pictures will do the trick. Did you use a Travel Agent?

Perhaps they have some old records on file!!!

 

Once you are ready to "present your evidence" call Carnival and ask for the

IMC department ( I am assuming here that if they have IMC specialist, then they must have an IMC department). Anyway, get a name. One person that you can fax the proof to. I have always found it is best to try to only deal with one person who you can go back to (time and time again) until this is resolved.
